I bought this as my wife and I both had small cars and then baby came along! It has proved to be very versatile and so practical for baby and children transporting. weather and the engine runs nice and smoothly. No problems with the gearbox or any of the electrics. It has central locking. Electric mirrors and electric windows. It also has a good quality Philips CD player with a removable fascia. The drive position is very comfortable with good all round vision. There is loads of space inside the car both in the cabin and in the boot. I’ve had this car for eighteen months and in that time I’ve had a new exhaust fitted and to get it through its MOT last September it had to get new front flexible brake hoses. Internally the car is in excellent condition with no stains or damage of any sort to the upholstery. Externally there are a few problems none of which I would class as major. The black coating has peeled off the wiper arms. The rear bumper on the drivers side is scraped. There is rust bubbling through on all four wheel arches. I have shown pictures of the two worst affected. There is a small area of the silver coating peeled off from the driver’s side wing mirror. There are a couple of areas on the car where there is a slight indentation in the bodywork. It`s as if some kind of pressure has pushed in the panel. These are not particularly noticeable, only from certain angles. I tried to include photographs of these but they did not show up in the pictures. Another thing to mention is that to get the car through its MOT last year the driver’s seat belt had to be replaced because the webbing was worn. I purchased a replacement belt via a website from a scrappy in Carlisle. The car passed the MOT but a couple of weeks later I was driving the car and the buckle of the belt popped out of the clip. On further investigation I discovered the scrappy had sent me a belt from a 2003 Kia even although I’d specified I was looking for a part for a 2001 model. The problem is that the buckle is a slightly different size. All I do to get round this is when I fasten the seat belt I give the buckle a tug to make sure it won’t come out. I’ve felt comfortable driving the car like this for the last year but the new owner may be happier replacing the belt with the correct type. The reason I’m selling this car is that the MOT runs out on the 11th of September. I took it round to my local garage for a pre MOT check and it needs quite a bit of work done to it. The mechanic quoted me about £400 for parts and labour. If you can do the work yourself or know a mechanic the chances are this car could be a bargain purchase. Even if it were just bought to be broken down for parts. The work required is as follows. Offside track rod end Two front to rear brake pipes Near side CV boot Off side Stabiliser link boot Off side rear stabiliser link Rear short brake pipes One of the tyres is borderline. It may pass but if not the spare has never been used so they could be swopped Overall if this car were fixed up it could provide many years of happy motoring. 12 months MOT. The car is in use everyday, so the mileage will increase slightly. It is taxed until the end of this month (September). General condition of the car inside and out, is very good. There are the usual minor marks on the bodywork as expected with a 10 year old car and the alloy wheels could do with re-furbishment if you were so inclined. It has good tyres all around and is fitted with a towbar - although we have only used it once to tow a small trailer. The car drives very well, very light and easy to drive. The 2 litre engine makes it quite nippy, but driven sensibily it is surprisingly good on fuel. The only known fault is the rear passenger window, which doesn`t open. The car is in good condition with a couple of tiny marks here and there as to be expected from a car of this sort as i have seen that all 7 seaters have marks on them. rear sensors fitted to help . The car has full electri pack - electric tilt/ slide roof ; electric drivers seat - tilt and up down and then the back rest! Electric windows x4 - front and rear . Aircon ; privacy glass ; alloy wheels ; It does what it says on the box the 2.9 diesel engine will sit on the motorway all day at 85 and return good mpg ; the chairs even have armrests; apparently the engines are mercedes- so it all makes sense. The rear row is the 3 which means with the split in the middle access to the rear is better than most MPVs . All the back rows are removable which means you could fit in vitually anything. There is a towbar fitted although we only used it to deliver a small caravan to scarborough and back twice.We bought it at 18months old and 25,000 miles so mileage and service history are both accurate and complete. The car is fully serviced and drives well . The car is not perfect and viewing is recommended ; there are a couple of marks on the front bumper and a few on internal plastics in the boot due to garden rubbish runs. vision. I have replaced the battery, had the sill welded (only one tiny patch) and had the wishbone replaced for last year`s MOT which it passed fine. It has done only a moderate mileage in the year. Last MOT mileage (km) was 162499. That said I have driven it on a 360 mile round trip without any problem at all.The bodywork shows no sign of any other rust that I am aware of.
