OptimaIntroducing the all-new Kia Optima, first unveiled at the 2010 New York Motor Show the Optima is a testament to the design-led brand Kia has become.

Designed under Kia’s Chief Design officer Peter Schreyer, the European-influenced design aims to inspire and challenge Saloon buyers who previously may not have considered a Kia. “With our new saloon, we have created a product that people previously would not have expected from Kia and that’s exactly what we set out to achieve!” asserts Kia’s Chief design officer Peter Schreyer.

Its award-winning design is strong and bold with an aggressive front face, featuring Kia’s signature ‘Tiger nose’ grille and yet its sleek body shape exudes elegance and simplicity.

The new Kia Optima is longer, lower and wider than any D-Segment model which has been offered by Kia. The generous dimensions with best-in-class front head and leg room enable high levels of interior comfort and usability for both the driver and passengers.

With a refined 1.7 CRDi 136bhp engine the Kia Optima is available in both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions with advanced environmental technologies to ensure CO2 emissions and fuel consumption are kept low. Manual models are all fitted with Kia’s Intelligent Stop and Go system which enables CO2 emissions of just 128g/km.

The stunning exterior design is coupled with a high-tech and refined driver-orientated interior, with exceptionally high standard of specifications and features typically found on vehicles from premium brands.

The Kia Optima aims to meet the highest safety requirements and is presented with a range of state-of-the art active and passive safety systems and equipment as standard. As with all Kia models the Kia Optima will be offered with an industry-leading 7 year/100,000 mile warranty, which is fully transferable to subsequent owners.
